We are very saddened indeed to announce that ELECTRIC WIZARD have had to pull out of their forthcoming Roadburn date due to a personal family nature. We have replaced EW with WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, and the band will perform a one-off show at Roadburn 2008

Justin Oborn: "We regret to announce that ELECTRIC WIZARD will not be able to perform at Roadburn Festival this year. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen and unavoidable situation, of a personal nature - which we had no idea would arise when we agreed to play last August, it has now become impossible for us to be at Roadburn.
This cancellation is not something that we want to do and we wish to apologise to all our fans and all at Roadburn especially Walter and we hope that this awesome festival will be the huge success it deserves to be. We will be rescheduling our performance for Sept 12th, 2008 again at the 013 venue."

Walter, Roadburn Festival promoter announces: "I'm very saddened today by the withdrawal of Electric Wizard from Roadburn 2008. Additionally, OM were forced to cancel the festival, due to the sudden and unexpected
departure of drummer Chris Hakius from the group. These losses have a deep effect on me personally, as I'm very commited to Roadburn and its attendees.

Roadburn is a gathering of kindered spirits, and I feel connected to each and everyone of you. From a musical standpoint, I am also disappointed as I was also lookin forward to enjoy these stoner/doom-heavyweights at Roadburn.

I have tried everything within my powers the last couple of weeks to keep both Electric Wizard and OM on the bill, but unfortunately, it didn't work out. We didn't have had any withdrawals from Roadburn in the past few years, and we consider ourselves very lucky in that aspect. This year reality kicked in, and I have to accept these events that are beyond my control.

In order to maintain the artistic quality of Roadburn, I 'm very happy to announce Wolves in the Throne Room as a replacement for
Electric Wizard. WITTR just finished a much acclaimed European tour, and will get back to Europe especially for Roadburn 2008 (many thanks to the 013 venue, Andreas from Southern Records and Wolves In The Throne Room themselves to make it all happen)."
